I'm finally getting caught up on my blog. This pretty lady celebrated her senior year with a sunset session last month. The golden hour was truly shinning throughout the entire evening.
I was excited when she showed up with several outfits she wanted to incorporate in her session. The red shirt, black shorts, and black heels were perfect for the "city" look downtown.
When you have beautiful long hair, you should always play with it a little during the session for a candid look.
This picture is probably my favorite from the entire session. I love how soft it is and how many different emotions it sends off. The soft golden hour glow added just the right light behind her and shinning down the tracks.
I have had these antique luggage pieces for a while and haven't had the opportunity to incorporate them into a session yet, but I'm loving the extra pop they added to this pose.
Walking away, from high school. Closing one chapter of her life and beginning another. The tracks are always such a fun location to have a portrait session.
At the train station, I fell in love with the green color on the door and siding.
Another "city" look shot from downtown.
You have probably seen this shot around Facebook and Instagram, it was another favorite from the session. She was daring to get into the river at sunset, with the dark water and unable to see the bottom. I'm so glad she was brave, because it really produced a few stunning images.
Another fun shot on the tracks.
I'm very much a fan of macro photography. I love the detail shots. I love the challenge of getting super close to the subject and making the art out of those tiny little details. So often we are so busy that we only look briefly at the large picture in front of us, but if we take the time to drill in to those details we can see a totally different prospective. I love the detail in her eyes, they have a dark outer edge, and almost look hazel as they turn to a blue/green color. Beautiful!
Congratulations Brittney! I wish you so much success on the next chapter of your life!!
